Summer End - social gathering + OCI SAML and integrate to create accounts

Let's talk a little about how to integrate with Oracle Identity.

We start with a quick conceptual review of the setup for SAML to manage both Authentication and Authorization in APEX for those who missed it at the APEX day or just need a refresher.

This presentation however is not APEX-centric. I will use it to show how it works, but the integration shown can be used from any technology, even just using cURL.

Then we move on to look at how one would integrate to let a user sign up for an account and have it created in OCI Identity. The user get's an email to validate they did in deed sign up and then they can log in to the application getting access to the authroization set up when we created the account.

In the presentation I'll show a little bit of code to show how it basically is done. However, the focus is on how it works and how to build these kind of integrations with OCI. The same technique can be used for just about any part of OCI. Or with some adjustments with any on-prem or cloud infrastructure that provides an API (to me knowledge that would be all of them)

After the presentation and discussion we head to a nearby bar to cheer in the summer and talk about what people want to see more of in SWEOUG and maybe a little about what you can look forward to in the fall.
