Tech Talk - Oracle MCP

MCP Servers in general and Oracle SQLcl MCP has been the talk of the summer. Let's take a look at it.

We have all(?) played around with Generative AI and seen the evolution over the past couple of years. If it is publicly available information it works great. But being able to do it with your own data has been harder.

Anthropic publiched the MCP standard late 2024 and every player in the AI space immediately jumped on board.

Oracle has given us MCP access to our data through SQLcl and integrated in Visual Code.

While a lot has been written about it, not everyone has gotten around to play with it. Let's take a look at setup, some ways to use it and talk about where we think this technology will take us.
