Walk & Talk – Afterwork at Winterviken 🌊

Details

Let’s enjoy a relaxed afterwork stroll through beautiful Winterviken Park, with the option to take a refreshing swim in Lake Mälaren if the weather is nice!

Plan
We’ll keep it easy and social — walk, chat, and soak in some summer vibes. If it turns out to be a chilly or rainy evening, we’ll skip the swim and head to a cozy bar in the area instead. But if the weather is good we will take advantage and have a swim + have a nice picninc dinner

How to join?
1. Please join the whatsapp group, to be updated (latest info is always shared via whatsapp group)
2. Meeting point 17:30pm (we will wait 10min)
3. Metro station: Liljeholmen, but exact location, in front of Lidl: https://maps.app.goo.gl/QqaExwRgk6kLXnNMA

What to bring:
– Swimwear, towel, and a swimming coat (if you're planning to swim)
– Water bottle
- BYOD + Picinic, we can have a lunch picnic
– Confortable walking shoes
- Dinner (if you want to eat)
- Good vibes + willignes to walk and meet new people!

(!) No pressure to swim — just come to connect, walk, get some fresh air, and enjoy the evening.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Winterviken +info:
Until the 1980s, the area was dominated by Alfred Nobel’s industrial facilities. Today, Vinterviken is a public park and green oasis.
You’ll find a sculpture trail, open lawns, walking paths with seating, urban gardens, and a cozy café. Several historic buildings remain, including the old sulfuric acid factory from 1891 — now home to an exhibition hall and restaurant.
Vinterviken’s name dates back to the 17th century, but it’s best known for Nobel’s 19th-century experiments with explosives, including the invention of dynamite in 1866.
The City of Stockholm took over the land in the 1970s. It was heavily polluted, but several clean-up efforts — the latest in 2019 — have helped restore it as a cultural and recreational space.
