Learn how to predict who will survive the Titanic!

What is Machine Learning and Data Science? In this workshop, we will learn how to use it to predict survivors on a sinking boat to actually apply big data for real business decisions. So take this opportunity to learn from three of the best data scientist from Norway ! (don´t worry they speak English )

Introduction to data science and machine learning

This presentation will give an overall introduction to working with data science and machine learning and give insights into how we work with data science projects.

Titanic workshop

This workshop is an introduction to machine learning in Python with the software libraries Pandas and Scikit-learn. We will use data sets based on the passengers of Titanic and the goal is to store datasets that are used to predict who will survive the Titanic.

Spark Workshop

In this part of the workshop, we will introduce Apache Spark – a lightning-fast cluster computer technology for fast calculations. You will get the basic knowledge and practical skills to run the application Apache Spark and to clear data and prepare them for modeling.

Finally, we will conduct a customer dropdown analysis and create a machine learning model to identify which of today's active customers has the greatest drop-out risk in the next period using Spark and Python.

All workshop attendees must have previous experience with programming. It is an advantage with Python knowledge but not a requirement. Please install Anaconda before the workshop.
