Free Salsa Class

Gröna Lund is a fantastic outdoor, but under cover, venue for learning and practising Salsa during the spring and summer every Saturday night.

You can get to Gröna lund easily either with the No 7 tram (Spårvagn) towards Djurgården (Skansen) from Sergels Torg just near Kulturhuset in T-Centralen

or if you have a monthly SL travel card, I recommend that you take the Djurgården ferry from Slussen.

The ferry leaves Slussen every 15 minutes (00, 15, 30, 45) and takes 10 minutes direct to Gröna lund.

The ferry usually costs 40kr each way, but with the SL monthly card it is free.

As for Gröna lund, I recommend you buy a Green Card costing 199 kr, once you have this you get free entry into Gröna lund the whole of the summer.

Free concerts and free dance lessons.

You can buy the card in advance at www.gronalund.se or buy on the night there are not usually big queues to buy it.

Saturday nights are Salsa classes for beginners

For none Green card holders it is 99 SEK, so after two visits the green card is paid for, and the card can be used by others if you can't make it, as there is no name/id associated with it.

The class is at 18.00 until 19.00 and then you can stay on and dance afterwards if you want.

Get there at around 17.50 and look out for other meet up members who will stand in the entrance to the dance floor. Once they begin they will split you up into either beginners or intermediate levels

If you buy a Gold card (Costing 1499 SEK) you will not only get free entry to the park, the dance lessons and the concerts but unlimited ride passes to the theme park, if you like riding the roller coasters etc this is definitely worth it, as it costs 400kr every time you enter the park and get an all day pass, so is paid for after only 4 visits.

We will be creating other events in Stockholm Party People for both concerts and theme park ride days, so having a card will prove worthwhile. Either Green or Gold.
