Welcome to our next R-meetup hosted in collaboration with iZettle.
The event will start at 17:30 with mingle and refreshments. At 18:00 we will start with the introduction followed by the presentation. There will also be a short break as well as time for asking questions and to discuss on the topic. We will finish at around 19:30.
Shiny - from Hack to Production
Björn Herder, Data Scientist, iZettle
iZettle (as venue hosts) will kick off with a brief introduction as to how the company as a whole works with data, and how the data science team in particular uses machine learning to further iZettle's overall data objectives.
Björn from the data science team will be focusing on how they are using Shiny to make information available to other teams by integrating Shiny with the iZettle data sources/warehouse, and their solution for integrating with (Google) Single Sign On.
He will show how Shiny is used as a general purpose platform for building data applications for internal users, what considerations his team had when creating the solution and how they can take advantage of fast iterations and ability to create the apps without a whole development team.
