Working with Open Data in R — Where Can a Nurse Afford to Live?
Details
Welcome to this Stockholm R User Group Meetup! SRUG is back with a new leadership team and we aim to host one or two meetups each semester.
At this meetup, we welcome Vilgot Österlund, who is a statistician at Arena Idé, a trade union-affiliated think tank in Sweden. He'll talk about how he collects, processes, and visualizes open data using R in his day-to-day work. Last fall, he produced the report Sjuksköterskeindex (The Nurse Index), which explores where nurses can afford to live. The analysis draws on data from sources including Statistics Sweden (SCB) and housing prices.
This meetup will take place in the office of our friends at Codon Consulting. We will have a limit of 25 attendees.
After the meetup, those who are interested can tag along to one of the many nearby pubs for some drinks.
See you there!
