This month at Stockpot: demystify taxes and head into this tax season prepared.

Join Stockpot's February session!
This month, Stockpot is diving into one of the most common (and confusing) money topics: taxes and income. If you’ve ever looked at a paycheck and wondered where your money went or felt unsure about how taxes actually work, this session is for you.

About the Speaker: We’re excited to welcome Lori Williams with Financial Beginnings, a nonprofit organization dedicated to making financial education accessible, practical, and judgment-free.

Together, we’ll explore:

  • How income is taxed and what that means for your paycheck
  • The difference between gross pay, net pay, and withholdings
  • Common tax terms you’ve heard before but maybe never fully understood
  • How understanding taxes can help you make more informed money decisions

Expect an interactive, approachable conversation designed for real life. We will use workbooks provided by Financial Beginnings to guide us through the lesson. No prior knowledge required, no pressure to share, just clear explanations, helpful examples, and space to ask questions!

📍 Location: Large Community Room 2A (upstairs)
