Beyond the regular Tuesday Stoic Walks, this is a Stoic Hike: longer distance, more ground covered, and more space for the conversation to breathe.

We'll be walking around 15 km through the landscape around Fort Eben-Emael, along the Albert Canal and the Jeker valley, across the border between Belgium and the Netherlands. The terrain mixes forest paths, open plateau, and views over the Maas valley, genuinely one of the more striking stretches of this region.

The goal is the same as always: move through nature, discover new places, and explore new ways of looking at life.

We start at 9:30 AM at the Parking du Fort, at the entrance to Fort Eben-Emael. Parking is free. Please aim to arrive by 9:15 so we can set off together at 9:30. Places are limited to 20 people, so sign up early.

What to bring:
Good walking shoes are essential; the terrain includes some steep and uneven sections. Bring enough water, lunch, or snacks for the full hike, a hat, and sunscreen if you need it. August in Limburg can be warm, so come prepared.

No background in philosophy or Stoicism needed. Just bring curiosity and a willingness to think out loud.

See you on the path,
Benny
