About us
Stomptown is THE country-western dancing community for all LBGTQ and gay-friendly dancers in Portland. We dance every other weekend on the 1st and 2nd Fridays at Escape Bar & Grill and on the 3rd Saturdays at Norse Hall!
Come join our welcoming, friendly and diverse crowd for social dancing fun! Don't know how to dance? No problem--we do lessons, and you don't need to bring a partner! In fact, click on Pages to get more dance instruction and information.
And...we're volunteer-run! All funds go to support Stomptown activities--providing instruction and social dance opportunities and promoting country-western dance in and for our community!
All welcome--boots to sneakers, Wranglers to boas! All genders and bodies welcome!
A recent comment from Wil:
"This was my first time dancing with Stomptown. I wondered if I could find a few people to dance with and although I didn't know anyone there when I arrived, I danced a lot. I enjoyed my time there! People were very inviting and friendly. "
