Welcome to Story Walks. These are two mile ninety minute strolling stop and talk events where the focus is on local people, their street names and places that helped shape some of the area history.
Ever wandered past a street name and wondered where it came from?
Come discover some of London's characters and place names, meeting with friendly like-minded people and perhaps joining us for quick refreshments afterwards, where possible, in a local Wetherspoons pub.
Events go ahead regardless of weather. Members come on walks at their own risk and must confirm this to their guests. Please arrange your own insurance if you have concerns.
Walk fees are £6, in cash please, it's a quicker transaction than card when there are many attendees.
Please be early as we like to set off fairly on time and can only wait 10 minutes.
Don’t forget to cancel via the “Edit RSVP” button if you can’t make a walk. Please do this well in advance when you know, so it allows good notice for someone else to take your place. Your consideration is greatly appreciated.
