New England Immersive: Enchanted Forest @ Boston City Hall

New England Immersive: Enchanted Forest @ Boston City Hall

Details

Come join New England Immersive in the interactive Enchanted Forest public installation! And join us for discussion afterwards at Cafe Vittoria in the North End!

Enchanted Forest is magical interactive experience for all ages, taking place on the Government Center promenade. The Forest contains multiple hands-on exhibits and responds to the natural environment, as it highlights the role of trees as an essential part of our public health infrastructure.

The exhibition was created by multimedia artists Saul Baizman (http://saulbaizman.com), Fish McGill (http://www.fishmcgill.com) & Andrew Ringler (https://andrewringler.com).

Saul Baizman gave Medium (https://medium.com/@HUBweek/hubweek-artist-of-the-day-saul-baizman-c6f133d054b4) three reasons why the intersections of art, science, and technology are important:

  • A collaborative, multidisciplinary perspective is sorely needed to address the legion of complex challenges around the globe.

  • The intersections are at the forefront of innovations in the realms of human understanding and human expression, providing new paths to connect with, learn from, and understand each other.

  • These disciplines, while ostensibly distinct, are interdependent and cannot flourish without each other.

The Enchanted Forest is part of a nighttime art festival called Immersion taking place Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 6—10pm at City Hall Plaza (Oct 12—14th). This would be a great time to visit the Enchanted Forest as well as explore the entire nighttime festival! Part of hubweek in Boston
