What we're about
This group is actually going to be several groups, all associated or affiliated in some way with The Storytelling Association of California, or SAC. Many local area groups meet for story swaps, storytelling performances and/or storytelling workshops, and this will be the place where they are announced and promoted through Meetup. The calendar for all events can be found at http://www.storysaac.org/calendar.html

"During the COVID-19 Pandemic, we have moved to Zoom for meeting online.
We are a story swap, a singers' circle, a poetry reading, an instrumental recital, a jam session and more , all in one! Join us for an evening of old fashioned home-made entertainment where everyone gets some time.
Contact [masked] for the Zoom link, preferably at least one day before the event. You can try after that, but no promises!

We invite you to attend our Genre Storytelling Series, online monthly, every third Wednesday, 7:00-8:30 PM PST, via ZOOM. Advance registration is required from our website (not Meetup), at www.storysac.org. On the left menu, click Genre Storytelling Series, then choose date desired and register there. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email with the link and passcode. Please do not lose or you may need to register again. Don't worry -- it recognizes your email and won't count as two registrations!
NOTE: These events will be recorded. Being in the Gallery, if you don't want to appear on screen, please do not activate your device's camera.
At this event, SAC members from various Storytelling groups around California will be telling stories from different genres. One genre is chosen per month such as Personal, Folktale, Historical, Tall Tale, Myth, Fable, Fantasy, Stories with Music, etc. Stories will be approx. 10 minutes long.
There is no cost to attend. However, we will be compensating the tellers for their efforts, and donations will be accepted at registration and during the event for this purpose. A Donation Button is also on SAC's Home Page: (www.StorySAC.org)
We began this series in August of 2020. You may join our YouTube Channel to view the most recent Genre and other SAC events at

All tellers must be SAC members. If you are not currently a SAC member please join us! Single memberships are only $30 per year, and there are multiple membership options as well. Please visit www.StorySAC.org for the link on the home page.
