Strange Adventures (Tempe) from the Yawning Portal

Stay a while and listen!
As you are transported into other worlds of fantasy, danger, and adventure within the Dungeons & Dragons realm of Faerun. While visiting the vastly popular and infamous Tavern, The Yawning Portal; you and several compatriots, as well as strangers are harkened by tales of gold, fortune & GLORY! The tavern’s proprietor, Durnan has allowed a fellow wanderer to lease a wall of his fine establishment with a bounty/job board in which eager parties may take upon themselves to cash in on the posted bounties, missing persons, or items listings, or even the occasional ‘under the table’ job listing.

You are invited to come join what will be a very fun and lighthearted entry into the world and game of Dungeons & Dragons. Friendly for beginners and advanced players alike. We will be taking adventure stories from D&D 5e books, manuals and toolsets. With the goal of offering a collection of campaigns that can be short one-shot adventures, played over a couple hours, or if need be continue into a second session.

New to Dungeons & Dragons? No problem! I am happy to help guide you through the experience, as I’m sure any other seasoned player in attendance will be happy to assist. You can get a quick run down of the game here:

We will accommodate time at the beginning of each session to create characters if they have not already been created. Feel free to create one with DnD Beyond’s character builder:

Characters for this scenario will begin at level 2. Players will also ONLY achieve new levels upon attending future events and days. This is to encourage consistent attendance, the more you come and play, the higher character level you will achieve.

Each session will go from 5-9pm every other Saturday at Strange Adventures Comics (Tempe Marketplace).

Pencil, paper and other gameplay items will be provided. Player kits will be available for purchase for $15. PLEASE NOTIFY AHEAD OF TIME IF YOU WOULD LIKE ONE.

We will need DMs as the gatherings increase in size, but all can play under the simple premise of the bounty board, if you are interested in assisting/participating in that way, feel free to message me.
