Details
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, at the end you tip the amount you consider appropriate (amounts usually range from £10-£30.)
Learn about the story of the Pavilion, Brighton's piers, the bombing of the Grand Hotel, the 1964 battle of the Mods and Rockers and more. From opulent Brighton in the regency period of George IV to a creepy Victorian whodunit you'll travel through the most evocative historical periods of Brighton.
The meeting point is the entrance to Brighton Palace Pier at 3.50pm - I will be standing under the clock at the entrance gates of Brighton Palace Pier, opposite the roundabout. I will be wearing a purple beret hat.
Come along if you would like to hear interesting stories rather than just dates and names - I'm passionate about sharing Brighton's fascinating past, so can answer any questions about topics that particularly interest you.
The tour will end at the i360, Lower Kings Road, Brighton, BN1 2LN around 6pm.
Everyone is welcome, just remember to bring comfortable walking shoes, water and rainwear/suncream as appropriate.
Book now to secure your place and learn about the real history of Brighton from a local! If the event is full feel free to still come along on the day.
