Community Immersive Storytelling Project
Details
Want to be part of a truly one-off Brighton Fringe experience?
If you’ve ever wanted to be involved in a performance but lacked the time or know-how, or want to do something different creatively, this could be for you.
This Brighton Fringe we are putting on a community-focussed and entirely volunteer-run immersive theatre performance. It will be outdoors and mobile, taking place along the seafront.
There will be just one audience member per performance, while the potential number of volunteer performers is limitless. The audience member will be thrown into a experience drawn from our own stories. We could create a simple linear narrative or something more surreal. Something profound or something funny. Maybe a good place to start is to think of a concept you would like more people to know about or experience.
We are having an initial welcome and introductory meeting for everyone interested in being involved on Sunday 8th February at 11am at Alcampo Lounge on London Road.
Everyone is welcome - any age, ability, or experience. There is no obligation and people can be involved in whatever aspect, as much or as little as they like. Not interested in being part of the performance but have ideas for what it should be like? Please come along!
The performances will be half an hour long and take place on the afternoons of 16th, 23rd, 30th and 31st May, but attendance at all is definitely not mandatory - in fact, it’s expected there will be a different group of volunteers at each one, making each experience completely unique.
If you can’t make it on the 8th but would still like to be involved, or have any questions, please email us at [strangestrolls@gmail.com](mailto:strangestrolls@gmail.com)
