Stranger Reads Book Club

Do you love reading books that are a little weird? Do you seek out books that leave a scene or two lingering in your head after you close it? Do you like the feeling of being creeped out, weirded out, or at least a little uncomfortable? Do you want to dig deep and have meaningful discussions about good books?

Meeting format:
Our meetings are around two hours, located in the Westminster area. For the first 20-30 minutes, everyone can trickle in, place any drink orders (probably food, too, close to 7), hit the restroom, etc. Settle in! Around 7pm, we will start discussing the book for the month. Think of it like your new literature class (but hopefully with more enjoyable reads).
Once discussion fizzles, I'll introduce next month's book, and you are welcome to head out whenever you'd like to or hang around and chit chat. Everyone pays their own tab! Restaurant closes at 9pm, so we're always out by 8:55pm at the latest.

RSVP Policy:
If you RSVP yes and can no longer make it, please update yourself to "not going." I know life happens! If you no-show twice with no communication, I will have to remove you from the group.

If an event is full, please join the waitlist! Spots often open up. Because this group uses public reservations, I can't accomodate people who aren't on the Going list.
If you are on the waitlist, that means the event is currently FULL! I can't make exceptions.

Content warnings:
If I've read the book, I will include a content warning specifically for any on-page SA scenes. Why this warning specifically? I was once part of a book club that did not do this and included some fairly graphic content, and it made multiple women very uncomfortable. I am not willing to do this to the readers who join us. For the sake of other content warnings, please know that possibly triggering content could be part of any book that we read. Please be aware of this as you read and do your own research as needed so you can care for you. There will be a variety of authors, so attend whatever sounds interesting.
