Introduction and Hands-on: AI Agents with Gemini SDK

   This is a follow-up to our last session where we explored Jeremy Howard’s agent concepts using Claudette. For Part 2, we will apply those principles using the Google Gemini SDK. We will start with a 30-minute discussion to introduce AI agents and the no-code options available today. Then, we will get hands-on and build a "Shop Agent" using Gemini's native function calling. Using Google Colab, we will code from scratch an agent capable of managing a database of orders and customers. Prerequisites: • Bring your laptop! • Basic knowledge of Python (functions, variables). • A Google Cloud Project or AI Studio API Key (we can help set this up on-site, but having a Gmail account ready helps). Will be held in English and/or French depending on the participants

   Ceci est la suite de notre dernière session où nous avons exploré les concepts d'agents de Jeremy Howard avec Claudette. Pour cette 2ème partie, nous appliquerons ces principes en utilisant le SDK Google Gemini. Nous commencerons par une discussion de 30 minutes pour présenter les agents IA et les solutions "no-code" disponibles aujourd'hui. Ensuite, place à la pratique : nous construirons un "Shop Agent" (agent de boutique) en utilisant la fonctionnalité native d'appel de fonction (function calling) de Gemini. Via Google Colab, nous coderons de zéro un agent capable de gérer une base de données de commandes et de clients. Prérequis : • Apportez votre ordinateur portable ! • Connaissances de base en Python (fonctions, variables). • Un projet Google Cloud ou une clé API AI Studio (nous pouvons vous aider à configurer cela sur place, mais avoir un compte Gmail prêt est un plus). La session se déroulera en anglais et/ou en français selon les participants.
