  • des usines à gaz pensées pour les grands groupes, qui demandent quelqu'un pour monter les vues et les faire tourner ;

  • leur méthodologie de développement ;
  • leur approche d'une IA efficace et responsable, l'humain gardant la main sur les décisions ;

Designing tomorrow's organisation, or how to bring together software, AI and, above all, people
Getting organised is crucial. We lose countless hours looking for that one document, that email, or the actual status of our projects.
Today's team collaboration tools fall into two categories:

  • heavyweight platforms designed for large corporations, which need someone dedicated to building views and keeping them running;
  • a constellation of small utilities (tasks, notes, calendar, files) that everyone has to keep in sync in their head, every single day.

Flots takes the opposite approach to both. It is a French tool that brings tasks, calendar, notes and projects together in one place. It is ready to use in five minutes with no setup, on web, iOS and Android. Its AI assistant, Cap, turns meeting notes into tasks (who does what, by when), and the user validates them. Every morning, Cap also gets the user's day ready.
Erwan will present Flots and the work he and his team are doing to simplify day-to-day operations while rethinking collaborative work. He will cover three topics:

  • their development methodology;
  • their approach to effective and responsible AI, with people staying in control of decisions;
  • data sovereignty: hosting in Europe, data never resold, no global model trained on it, and a personal space that stays private, even from your employer.

As an engineering student at Télécom Physique Strasbourg, he will also take you behind the scenes of a project born during his studies. He will explain how he wears both hats day to day, present the support programmes available, and share the hurdles you can run into.

Agenda

  1. Introducing Flots: the problem, the product, the demo
  2. Building a startup as a student: balancing school and startup, support programmes, lessons learned
  3. Our AI research directions: the Cap assistant, AI that serves people, privacy and interoperability (MCP, integrations)
