Extra Life! Game Day Kick-Off

A $15 Contribution is REQUIRED for this Event - but the entire amount goes directly to Levine Children's Hospital and is tax deductible.

Also, you will get a voucher for entry into the 24-Hour Gaming Marathon being held at Carolina Tabletop Games, so you can continue gaming for charity all night long and win even more great prizes! There are three ways you can contribute:

1. Join our team and/or donate directly to the Charlotte Gamers United Extra Life! team (https://www.extra-life.org/team/CLT).

2. Pre-pay via PayPal to the Club (https://www.paypal.me/QCGC/15), and we'll pass it along to Extra Life!

3. Pay at the door on November 2nd, and we'll pass it along to Extra Life!

SO WHAT IS EXTRA LIFE! ?

Queen City Game Club is just part of a coalition of Charlotte gamers (https://www.facebook.com/groups/ExtraLifeCLT/) sponsoring teams for the 24-hour game marathon, Extra Life (http://www.extra-life.org/)! Please join us to kick-off a full day of playing board games to raise money to save kids!

The Charlotte Gamers United Extra Life! team has chosen to support Levine Children's Hospital, where thousands of children are treated each year, regardless of their family's ability to pay. These kids are facing serious threats to their health, like cancer, cystic fibrosis, and injuries from accidents, to name just a few.

On Saturday, November 2, 2019, we'll be part of a huge international celebration of the social impact of gamers with Extra Life. We invite you to come join the celebration!

There will be a raffle and prizes in support of Levine Children's Hospital.

A selection of games will be available and feel free to bring your own favorites as well. This event will last approximately five-and-a-half hours.

We've had a great time the last several years raising money for this incredible event. Together with our friends in the Charlotte gaming community, we have raised nearly $130,000 for Levine Children's Hospital since 2008!

RAFFLE DETAILS

We will be having a raffle during the Extra Life event. You will receive 3 tickets with your $15 initial contribution. You may purchase additional tickets at $5 each, and these tickets may be bought in advance or at the event.

Every dollar contributed goes to Levine Children's Hospital. You may place the tickets any of the following drawings:

After the main prizes have been drawn, all remaining tickets will be placed into this general raffle for a number of additional prizes, including games like Scoville, Forbidden Sky, Photosynthesis, Kingdomino, Tiny Epic Mechs, Guns & Steel and Arboretum. (You can also buy tickets directly for this drawing if you're not interested in any of the other games.)
