We are again renting rafts from Lazy Day Raft Rentals. Whyβ¦ because they are AWESOME and do all the work of inflating and cleaning the rafts at the end. We simply show up ππ
Friends, family, kids β are welcome to join as long as they will be okay with the water battleβ¦. Remember they WILL GET WET!

EVENT ITINERARY
10:00 am Check in @ the Crow's Nest (receive lifejackets & crew mates)
10:20 am All hands on Deck (the hill) for Group Photos and Safety Chat
10:30 am Load Buses ** use the washroom before leaving to speed up launch** Boat Captains - load the bus with your crew
10:45 am SHARP Buses Depart
11:15 am Arrive at Baker Park and promptly load rafts. Boat Captains - keep your crew together
MEETING POINT
We will meet at the Calgary Curling Club, 720 3 St NW, Calgary, AB T2N 1N9 at 9:45 am. Parking is very limited, PLEASE park in the adjacent CPA Lot 59 - pass is $2 for the day. There is a path from the CPA lot to the Curling Club.
Carpooling is Highly Encouraged when possible!
TRANSPORTATIONπ
The buses will arrive at 10:30am, and WILL be departing at 10:45am SHARP! If you are late, you will need to meet us at Bakers Park and arrange your own transportation back.
At Bakers Park, we will promptly load rafts and launch. We are anticipating a quick launch this year.
PIRATE CREWS
Have your own pirate crew, please message Jennifer E before July 8th so we can accommodate your request. Raft Crews will be posted a few days before the event and will be available at check in. Rafts accommodate 10 people comfortably, 12 if you have small people.
π₯POST FLOAT TAIL-GATE PARTYπ₯
After rafting, stay for a tail gate party in the Lazy Day parking lot.
BRING:
π a lawn chair
π potluck item to share - finger foods, chips & dip, cheese & crackers, meat tray, veggies, fruit, salads... anything that needs to be served room temperature or cold. If your item is cold please pack in a cooler bag with ice packs to stay cool for the day. We are able to store our food in the building rather than baking in our cars.
π beverages (anything non-alcoholic as this is City property)

NITTY GRITTY...
π PFD's are required and provided by Lazy Day. Choosing not to wear your PFD could get you a $500 fine and a court appearance (yes there are river police). And I personally do not want our rafts pulled over
π NO alcohol, cannabis or drugs
π NO smoking in rafts
π£ Anything you don't want to get wet in the raft...keep in a watertight container or dry bag. Suggestion: leave your towel and dry clothes in your vehicle, there is a very good chance they will get soaked if you have them in the raft with you. Limit the amount of items you bring in the raft for the comfort of your fellow passengers.
YOU NEED:
π You are encouraged to play the part and dress like a pirate (totally optional)
π«πͺ£NO Buckets! Only bring water guns that can be refilled from the river.
π Once you have paid for your seat on a raft, you will need to fill out a waiver online. Please do this before float day to speed up check in
π¦ Water gun/cannon
π Good water shoes or sneakers for getting in and out of the raft. Keep in mind the rocks could be slippery. Flip flops are NOT recommended.
π Lunch/snack. We will stop at Edworthy Park for a bathroom break and lunch. PLEASE BRING A LUNCH ... the lineup at Angels will be too long.
π§Bring lots of water
πΆοΈ Use straps on your eye glasses so you don't lose them in the river
