Stress can cause feelings of anxiety, frustration, anger or helplessness. It can affect your relationships and your physical health.

It’s considered normal to experience stress under difficult circumstances. But, think of those people you know or have observed that stand up well under stressful circumstances. Stress is an individual experience.

Stress is actually caused by how resilient you are mentally.

Sure, if something bad happens in your life, such as a death or illness, you’re going to feel stress. But, when it continues or becomes unbearable, that isn’t normal and something has triggered and keeps you stressed-out.

Have you experienced any of the following?

  • Past traumas
  • Bad breakups
  • Losses and failures
  • Deaths
  • Sudden shocks
  • Illness, accidents
  • Abuse

These sort of incidents accumulate in your subconscious, causing you to feel more and more general stress, making you less able to handle current life events.
