The Last Black Man in San Francisco; Fido after

Details

From the Belcourt site: Jimmie Fails dreams of reclaiming the Victorian home his grandfather built in the heart of San Francisco. Joined on his quest by his best friend Mont, Jimmie searches for belonging in a rapidly changing city that seems to have left them behind. As he struggles to reconnect with his family and reconstruct the community he longs for, his hopes blind him to the reality of his situation. A wistful odyssey populated by skaters, squatters, street preachers, playwrights, and other locals on the margins, THE LAST BLACK MAN IN SAN FRANCISCO is a poignant and sweeping story of hometowns and how they’re made—and kept alive—by the people who love them. Winner of the Sundance Film Festival’s Best Director and Special Jury Awards.

We will meet in the alcove area before the movie. I'll be there by 1:40 and will comment here when I get there. We don't have to sit together for the movie - we will meet up outside the theater and walk over to Fido after for coffee/snack/discussion.

Parking Info
Parking is always free in the Belcourt lot if you're coming to a film or event. Get your parking pass at the box office when purchasing tickets or, if you buy a ticket online, it will be at the bottom of the ticket.
