We are, as our name suggests, a social group for over 50's. We're all about having a laugh, chatting, hanging out, eating, drinking, weekends away, live music, theatre events and much more. We are friendly and you can be assured of a warm welcome when attending any of our events.
Feeling a bit nervous about attending an event? Just give us a call on either of the numbers above for a chat.
To cover the costs of running the group, we ask for a £1 donation at our meet-ups. We understand that many people don’t carry cash in these days of card payments, so we would appreciate it if members could try and have a £1 coin to hand for this.
Many of our events take a lot of time and effort to organise, so it is important that we are able to contact members with updates and other relevant information. As your contact preferences on Meet-up are automatically set so that no one can contact you, you will need to adjust this manually by going into your Profile. Click on Settings, then Privacy and finally on Who Can Contact You on Meetup. Choose the options you are happy with, but please make sure that this includes allowing organisers to contact you.
We also ask that all members put a recent, recognisable photograph on their profile page as well as their surname. This helps both us and fellow members identify and remember you, and makes it easier to identify who has sent us payments for events. Please be aware that if you don’t have a recognisable photo or your surname on your profile, we will not approve your request to join our group.

Please make sure you book for the 6 o’clock show on the 13th of December. Sloan's have requested that when you buy your ticket you use your name and don’t check out as a guest so that I can let them know who will be sitting with the group. At the moment there are around 35 places available so grab your ticket before they sell out.

GFT Christmas movie - The Bishop's Wife
