About us

The Strings Attached Marionette Arts Mentorship Circle is a space for puppeteers of all levels to gather, share techniques, and support one another in the craft of marionette theater. Whether you are currently carving your first wooden puppet, learning the complexities of stringing, or looking for ways to improve your performance and movement, this group is designed to offer a collaborative environment. We believe that marionette work is a specialized art form that thrives best when we can learn from each other's experiences and troubleshoot challenges together.

Our meetings are informal and centered around the exchange of skills rather than formal instruction. We spend our time discussing construction methods, sharing tips on control bar design, and practicing manipulation techniques. If you have a project you are working on or simply a curiosity about the mechanics behind these figures, we invite you to join us. We look forward to building a community where we can preserve and evolve the traditional art of the marionette through mutual mentorship.
