**Demystifying payment disbursement - using Stripe Connect to remain compliant**

Ana is a Solution Architect at Stripe. Her role is to advise Stripe's clients on the technical aspects and design solutions using the company's products.

Her path to sales was rather unconventional. She is a telecommunications engineer and holds a PhD in computer science, so she began her career doing research on how machine learning algorithms could be used to analyse faces in video conferences and replicate movement in virtual clones (akin to the metaverse).

While she had the privilege of working with the latest technology, something was missing; she wanted to learn more. This led her to co-found a startup, TidyChoice, a platform for home services based on the gig economy.

Her startup became a 10 year old company that runs by itself; therefore, she decided to return to the corporate world, which is how she arrived at her current role as a solutions architect.

One key lesson she's learned: "Never say never." Sales had a terrible reputation in her mind, but in her current position she is able to work with the whole company ecosystem/ This has helped her better appreciate Stripe's clients and empathize with the challenges the company faces.
