Understanding Teen Mental Health- What Parents Need to Know
Details
Raising a teenager today can feel overwhelming — especially when emotions, behaviors, or crises start to feel bigger than what you can handle at home.
This free online class is designed for parents, caregivers, teachers, and anyone who supports teens and wants to better understand what’s going on beneath the surface.
Together, we’ll talk about:
✔️ What’s “typical teen behavior” vs. real warning signs
✔️ Anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use — explained in simple terms
✔️ Why teens shut down, explode, or pull away (and what actually helps)
✔️ Practical coping tools you can start using right away
✔️ When outpatient therapy is enough — and when higher levels of care may be needed
✔️ What residential treatment really looks like, and how families are supported
This will be educational, compassionate, and judgment-free.
You don’t need any background in mental health — just curiosity and care for the kids in your life.
There will also be time for Q&A at the end, so feel free to bring your questions.
Who is hosting?
This session is led by our team from SAI Mental Health and SAI Residential Treatment Center. We work every day with teens and families navigating complex emotional, behavioral, and trauma-related challenges, and our goal is to provide clarity, support, and hope.
You are not alone — and there are real, caring resources available.
We’d love to have you join us. 🌿
