A twice a month Board Game Meetup taking place at Brimscombe Mill (Home of the Long Table, the Bike Drop, Stroud Furniture Bank and Stroud Kids Stuff) in Brimscombe, taking place on the First and Third Saturday of every month between 11AM and 5PM, this group is suitable for beginners and hobbyists alike.

The Long Table cafe sells food and drink and hot meals and there is plenty of parking available at Brimscombe Port, next to the venue.

A selection of board games is provided from the growing library, ranging from quick & easy games to longer ones (examples include Carcassone, Parks, Cascadia, Small World, Horrified, Dune: Imperium, Takenoko, the Isle of Cats, Everdell, Harry Potter Cluedo, Cosmic Encounter, Scotland Yard as well as shorter games like Dungeon Mayhem, Coup, Codenames & more), folks are encouraged to bring their own games, however :)

Don't be worried about just showing up and joining in, newcomers are always welcome! Also there is no obligation to show up at 11 or stay until the end.

This group is committed to inclusivity and providing a welcoming environment to all regardless of age, gender, orientation, nationality, class, income, colour, health & gaming experience. We do not tolerate any form of discrimination.

The space is also suitable for Roleplaying/TTRPG games (Dungeons & Dragons and so forth) as well as larger miniature games (up to 2 tables can be provided for the big miniature games)

Children are welcome but must be with a responsible adult who will take care of them.

Directions: By car, head for the Ship Inn and turn right before you go past it, then a quick right again into Brimscombe Mill/The Long Table. Parking in the Brimscombe Port car park (opposite the Ship Inn) is requested

On foot, from Stroud train Station, it is a 35 minute walk (or 15 minutes by bike) along the canal. Keep going past the Stroud Brewery and just before you get to the Ship Inn, take a sharp left.
If you have any issues finding the place, the best thing is to ask someone for directions to the Long Table/Brimscombe Mill (or the Ship Inn)
