About us
We started the Strum and Socialize Guitar Jam Club to create a relaxed space where local players can get together to play music without the pressure of a formal band rehearsal or a performance. Whether you have been playing for years or are just starting to feel comfortable with your chord shapes, this is a place to share songs, trade tips, and simply enjoy the process of making music with others in a friendly environment. We keep the focus on collaboration and learning from one another rather than perfecting a setlist.
Our sessions are pretty casual by design. We usually spend the first few minutes catching up, then we jump into a rotating song list that everyone has a chance to suggest. You do not need to be a virtuoso to join in; if you can keep a steady rhythm and want to practice playing along with other people, you will fit right in. We hope to build a steady group of regulars who look forward to grabbing their guitars and playing through some favorite tunes together every month.
