Here is a map, provided by MBWMA of the fields planted this year. The "yellow" comment provides the location of the meeting place for this Meetup. There is a field right there at the parking lot. If it is crowded or people want to explore other fields, we certainly can go to one of the other fields, but I think it is best to start here.

Hi All:

We have learned that this year, McKee Beshers WMA has planted 7 fields of sunflowers. For those who have seen it, you know it is amazing. For those who haven't, this is a must see. Acres of beautiful sunflowers straining to reach the sky.

We will start out at the "main" field off of River Road, in Poolesville, MD. If we tire of this field, we can caravan to one of the others. We will be meeting at 6:30PM and can shoot until the sun goes down.

Since these fields are weather dependent, we may need to change the date of the Meetup, but for now, July 20 is the date, based on MBWMA's estimated peak. If we find that the fields are not on schedule, we will update the event date.
