We will be drawing Lily, a 15 year old teen with large soulful eyes. She will be listening to headphones to keep herself occupied. Her mother, Rebecca Phend, recently modeled for us. She has her mother's warm eyes.

In this workshop, I will be teaching participants the basics of expressive portraiture:
-proportions
-anatomy
-shading techniques
-facial features

Students may sign up for one at a time or for as many as they like. People pay on this site, one class at a time.

We will work with charcoal on toned paper. Supply list:
-Vine charcoal sticks
-Compressed charcoal pencils
-Kneaded eraser
-Toned paper (gray or tan)

We will work from a variety of models, casts, and reference images.
