Exploring the Productivity Paradox

Details
The topic of productivity in technology is complex and often misunderstood.
Technology has brought many benefits, including new markets, capabilities, and increased productivity. Within organisations, it has moved from “a part of finance” to huge departments in its own right.
But, are we seeing the productivity benefits in technology delivery?
Many organisations struggle to understand: Is our technology function productive? How does it compare with others? What does good look like? When will we be good enough?
There are MANY sides to this discussion, and it isn’t clear or easy to measure. This has been much disputed over the last couple of years—spoiler alert—it isn’t “lines of code produced.”
It can be interpreted in different ways and manifests differently depending on context.
SEAM returns with a line-up of two speakers who will discuss this space from two perspectives that will interest those trying to articulate productivity in technology.
Join Dr Nina Jorden as she introduces us to the Productivity Paradox from the broader perspective of industry, and Dan Jones as he dives into the engineering (software, infrastructure) space and examines productivity on the ground.
