Details
🖼️ Museum visit + live music – FREE
❇️ Important: Reserve your free ticket before they sell out.
(Book the 5:30 pm slot on Fri, Nov 13).
🌟 Let’s kick off the weekend with some amazing art, iconic views, and live music!
🏢 The Whitney Museum of American Art is currently hosting its blockbuster Roy Lichtenstein: Like New pop art exhibition.
⭐️ Friday night admission to the museum is FREE.
🎶 Lucky for us, they're also hosting live music in the lobby that night, as part of an experimental music series co-presented by the Brooklyn venue, Public Records.
- 6:30 pm: LEYA (ethereal operatic vocals, detuned harp, and violin)
- 8:00 pm: Emily A. Sprague (ambient synthesizer composition)
⚙️ Our general plan
(Of course, you're always free to navigate the galleries as you like and even skip the live music, if you prefer.)
- 5:30 pm: We'll head inside promptly and get thru security.
- Check out the main Lichtenstein exhibition floor.
- 6:30 pm: Catch the live music set by LEYA in the lobby.
- Hop on the elevators and head upstairs for more artwork + visit the outdoor roof-deck terraces for beautiful city views 🌃
As we wind down, you can stick around to catch the next musician at 8 pm, or explore the museum some more, or head out. Maybe we'll get a drink or bite nearby.
