Deciding When to Decide - Avoiding decision traps related to decision timing

Details

How often do you find yourself faced with decisions for your business or startup that you keep putting off for fear of getting it wrong? Or alternatively, when was the last time you made an impulse purchase only to regret buying it as soon as you started using it?

Yes, our decisions are plagued by all sorts of biases and errors of our imperfect rationalities. We sometimes fall prey to our emotional sirens and at other times we reach the limits of our analytical capabilities. Unfortunately, our brains have not evolved fast enough to keep up with the burgeoning choices available and the increasing complexity of the world.

So when should you take your time with a decision even though there is a cost to delaying the decision? And when should you stop gathering information and make a choice even when there are still lots of unknowns?

Poorly made decisions cost us time, energy and money and can mean the difference between advancing in our career or business and remaining stagnant.

Join us for this Meetup to learn about the common decision errors that cause us to choose too early as well as the common traps associated with deciding too late. We will share our experience on ways to avoid these traps and give you practical guidelines that can be used to make more timely decisions.

It will be a very informative and interactive presentation. Please RSVP and let us know that you are coming!

Looking forward to meeting everyone. We will allow time after the presentation for general networking so members get to know one another better.

NOTE 1: Our goal is to meet monthly.

NOTE 2: We have a strict No Show policy. If you RSVP YES and then find out later that you cannot attend, please update your RSVP to NO. After 3 “No Show’s,” you will be removed from the Meetup membership.
