- Current Southold Town Highway Department mechanic with more than 40 years' experience as a heavy equipment operator and mechanic.
- Mr. Schlachter believes the Highway Superintendent is “one of most important jobs in this town. Keeping roads and sidewalks safe for the public and first responders is my top priority.”
- Greg is a member of the Southold Fire Department and is well-known among local children as “Southold Santa” during the Christmas season.
