Silent sufi Meditation in Birmingham(Naqshbandi)

This is the weekly meeting of the School Of Sufi Teaching in B ham . ( You can read more concerning our Tariqat @sufischool.org .
We are a Naqshbandi /Mujaddi Tariqat under the direction of Hazrat Hamid Hassan Rasool ( Delhi shareef ) may Allah swta bless and protect Him .
If You would like to explore this beautiful tradition and spiritual path You need, from the outset to be prepared to commit to 35 mins per day sitting in the meditation ( Muraqabah ) on your own at home and also be prepared to attend the weekly meeting as often as possible. Additionally You need to be prepared to follow the guidance of the Sheikh ( The teacher and Guide ) ( this sometimes means after starting our practices You may have to stop / edit practices that You may already be doing .
If You would like to join us You should email detailing a brief introduction about Yourself and Your spiritual experience to date , Your spiritual aspiration and need . Nb this is NOT a drop in class or open zhikr or ijtama ( gathering ) If You are already with a sheikh /Tariqat out of respect for Your placement teacher and practices and also the particular /specific nature of our sheikh's teaching , in terms of joining us , it is likely to NOT be straightforward, although the Sheikh will review each persons request on a case by case basis . It is far simpler if You have no experience and or affiliation and people from all backgrounds /religion /non religious orientation are welcome. This meeting is for both men and women ( honouring Islamic etiquettes and sensibilities ) and we are roughly half and half men and women on a typical week with our core group . The practice is very simple to engage but the challenge is to be sincere /regular and consistent in Your discipline and engagement both individually and and in the group .
The School of Sufi teaching is a registered charity and no one gets remunerated for the teaching and equally there is no charge for the teaching .
