Ambergris Caye - Just off the coast, in the very north of Belize, is Ambergris Caye, the largest of hundred of cayes scattered along the country’s coast that makes up the second largest barrier reef in the world. Ambergris is approx. 25 miles long – the largest island in Belize, and the most visited spot, with many hotels, fun bars, great restaurants, and some of the best diving in the Caribbean Sea.
The best time to visit Ambergris Caye is between December and April when pleasant, sunny days transform the island into the beachy haven that winter-weary visitors crave.
