Black Forest Trail (3 nights)

This is a 4 day 3 night backpacking trip on the Black Forest Trail in Tiadaghton State Forest (North-Central PA). Expect breathtaking views, gorgeous forest scenery, and abundant wildlife. This is a 42.2 mile loop with elevation changes up to 1600 feet, and a total elevation gain of over 8000 feet over multiple ascents and descents. This should be considered a challenging trip only for those with some backpacking experience.

The trailhead is an approximately 3.5 hour drive from Philadelphia, we will carpool to the trailhead early Saturday morning, returning Tuesday evening.
