Upper Wissahickon Loop (Day hike, beginner friendly)

This is an 8.1 mile day hike in Wissahickon Park to celebrate reaching 200 members! This will be a great opportunity for new members to meet people. Highlights include Andorra Meadows and the Thomas Mill covered bridge.
This is a VERY beginner friendly trail, athletic clothes and sneakers should be fine. Bring sunscreen, bug spray, water to drink, and maybe snacks or a lunch.
The trailhead is accessible by car or public transit. Those driving should park on Wises Mill Road across Henry Ave. Those taking transit should take the 27 bus leaving Center City at 8:48am. I will set up a group chat as we get close, and will use it to stay in contact and coordinate carpooling for those who need it.
There are lots of interconnecting trails in Wissahickon, so we will be able to shorten or lengthen the hike if people feel like it. We may also decide to go out for lunch together afterwards. Hope to see you there!
