Overview
Join our Back End Engineering instructor, Gavin Stark (https://www.meetup.com/The-Iron-Yard-Tampa-Bay/members/1412901/) to learn the basics of the new Webpack feature in Rails 5.1 along with our Student Enrollment Representative, Holly Valenty (https://www.meetup.com/The-Iron-Yard-Tampa-Bay/members/215169340/), to learn more about The Iron Yard (http://www.theironyard.com/).
This course assumes a basic knowledge of Ruby, Rails 4 or 5, and familiarity with Javascript. We will be looking at the new integration of JavaScript's Webpack into the forthcoming Rails 5.1
Outcomes
We'll do some live coding of a React component integrated into a Rails application, all managed with Webpack.
Requirements
Laptop that is WiFi capable. Laptops are required to complete the course. However, if you do not have one and would simply like to attend as an observer, you're certainly welcomed to sign up and you'll still learn a lot!
