Build a GitHub App in for a Craftwork

We are excited to host GitHub on our campus! The talk will help you build a GitHub App in for a Craftwork event.

This workshop is open to developers of any skill level who want to learn how to use the GitHub API to build better developer workflows. They will be bringing stickers for everyone, too!

GitHub Employees will walk attendees through the process of creating their first GitHub App. This workshop will cover:

Introduction to the GitHub Apps flow

Probot, https://probot.github.io/, a great tool for getting started building GitHub Apps

Hosting code with Glitch

6:00 pm: Eat, drink, mingle

6:30 pm: Opening remarks, welcome

6:45 pm: Lightning talk from a GitHub Employee

7:00 pm: Build an App!

8:30 pm: Q&A, mingling

9:00 pm: And, we're done!
