About the Event:
Learn how to get started building a basic website using HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Who is this for?
• Beginners and anyone interested in learning the basics of web development
• Designers who want to learn how to communicate better with developers
Outcomes:
In this crash course, we'll walk through the tools and file types used in building a website, while building a virtual quarantine activity jar.
Requirements:
• A laptop if you would like to try to follow along
• Code editor (ex. Visual Studio Code) or you can use Glitch, https://glitch.com/
• Web browser (Instructor will be using Chrome and Glitch for this event)
Agenda:
• What is web development?
• The basics of HTML
• Adding styles to HTML pages with CSS.
• Allowing users to interact with the website with JavaScript
