LET'S CHECK OUT JOHN CHESNUT PARK, 2200 East Lake Rd, Tarpon Springs

John Chesnut Park is a beautiful park bordering Lake Tarpon

There is a very good chance of seeing deer as soon as you drive into the park
We will meet at the parking lot past the boat launch parking lot, so when you enter the park, the first stop sign turn to your left, keep going past the boat launch parking area and park in the shaded parking areas by the memorial for Officer Peggy

We will then walk along the boardwalk which you can view the lake, then onto dirt path where you can view Brooker Creek, a great paddle that we will have to do sometime

Then back to where we started and onto more boardwalk along the lake on the other side of the parking lot, this is about 3 miles round trip.

Bring water and anything else you need for a comfortable hike

Lunch! Afterwards,,
Vettures Italian Restaurant, 1 mile north of the park. Last time we ate there it was really good!
