Explore three or more paths in Whispering Pines City Park, 1700 Forest Drive Inverness
1. You will explore one delightful wild mile of the approximately 1500 miles long Florida Scenic National Trail
2. Then you will walk around part of the perimeter trail,
3. Then you will take the yellow trail to end the exploration of this loop.
You may see rabbits, birds, native plants.
You may benefit from a hiking stick
since the trails include varied terrain, some sandy, some leafy, some a bit
rocky, some with roots, slight ups and
downs. Bring water!
Parking will be 0.1 miles from the entry along the road on the right side. You will pass the small bathroom building immediately after entering the park.
We will walk about 3 miles at a somewhat leisurely pace. We will observe what is around us, and how many opportunities for recreational activities make this a happy place for people.
