Whenever I would get banged up playing sports the coach said "Walk it off!" Here's your chance to walk off that meal you gorged on Thanksgiving Day! I have scheduled two hikes; one on Saturday, 11/29/2026 and one on Sunday, 11/30/2026. Together, these two hikes will cover about 20 miles, give or take a mile.

As the trailheads are nearby to each other, and to not have to drive back the next morning to the same area for the second hike, I will be reserving one of the primitive group campsites at Withlacoochee River Park. The park limits the site to 40 tent campers. Campground rules and camping information is available at Pasco County, FL - Official Website | Official Website

Also, to reduce the amount of food to be packed I plan to have dinner at a local restaurant in Dade City Saturday night.

A donation of a bundle of firewood would be appreciated. If it's not burned at this overnight event it will be turned to ashes at one of the many other overnight events planned for later in the the season.
