Have you read and do you understand this "Assumption of risk"?
YOUR RSVP TO ATTEND A "SUNCOAST OUTDOORS " SPONSORED EVENT IS YOUR EXPRESS ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF UNDERSTANDING AND UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE OF FULL PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY AND LIABILITY FOR ALL ASSOCIATED RISKS. Possible risks from participation include but are not limited to: Injury from a trip & fall, venomous snakes, stinging insects, venomous spiders, wildlife encounters, heat stroke, hypothermia, noxious vegetation, weather related injury, insect or airborne transmissible virus and disease, smoke inhalation, wildfire, falling trees, drowning. This list is not all inclusive.
Heads up on this hike. There may be some bushwhacking involved. The connector trail leading to the BWC may or may not be clear since the BSA no longer owns the site.
Meet at the River Road Trailhead parking lot between 8:30 and
9:00 a.m. I plan to start trekking at 9.
We will follow the white blaze connector trail to the orange blaze trail (NFST). There we will turn right and mosey along for awhile until reaching the BWC connector trailhead. At this point we may have to bushwhack our way into the site. Have to wait until getting there to find out what happens.
Then we turn around and go back the way we came!
