Lake Arbuckle: A stroll & one night in the woods
Details
****Cancelled***This trek is all about relaxing and the route is much shorter and different from the event in February of 2026.
Starting @ the Horse Trailer Parking area (see map and address), we'll hike to camp for about 5.5 miles. Easy does it. We'll take the same route back on Sunday morning. Once at camp my plan is to (hopefully) gather firewood (with some help), and then sit back, relax, and let the sun shine on my face. But, there are other trails if anyone wants to go explore. If you choose to wander off you'll be responsible for your own navigation.
8 attendees max, campsite rule. You must bring ALL of the gear you may need for a night in the woods, including drinking and cooking water for Sat/Sun. The lake is accessible if you choose to gather water on the way to camp but you'll have to filter it. No water access @ camp! The sign says it - proper food storage required, bears may be in the area. Bring your preferred, tried & true method to store your food for the night.
