Myakkahatchee Creek

This will be a 6-mile hike more or less.

We will meet in the parking lot and start our hike PROMPTLY at 9am. I will have a YELLOW HAT on my car and the Suncoast Outdoors sign.

Myakkahatchee Creek is a stream that flows into the Myakka River and is also called Big Slough. This is where we will be hiking next to the Creek in a loop one way. It is mostly shaded but lots of trip roots, so you need to watch your steps.
I hope everyone can go with the flow and stay together into the beautiful woods next to the Creek.

What to bring: lots of water, 2 liters, whistle, snacks or lunch, walking stick, bug off, small First Aid Kit.
