Pinellas Trail, Elfer's Spur Trail and Coastal Anclote Trail (3 Urban Trails!)

Come check out some of the trails around Tampa Bay. Some rides might be short, some might be long, some might run along busy noisy roads, and some might have beautiful shade, or no shade at all, and some might have water views. Here’s the most important part of this series; all these trail rides are on community trails, that means walkers, cyclists, dogwalkers, families walking in groups, adults pushing carriages, roller bladers, electric bikes and more. If you are looking to tear up the pavement, make time or are bothered by other people using the trail and slowing you down, please do not sign up for these rides.

Pinellas Trail and Coastal Anclote Trail: This ride is approximately 12 miles each way, approximately 24 miles total. We will meet at the trail parking lot and ride north on the Pinellas Trail and connect with the Coastal Anclote Trail. From Wall Springs through Tarpon Springs has many road crossings and the Pinellas Trail is well loved in this area, so remember we are not trying to break any speed records. We will stop at traffic lights and wait for the crossing signal before crossing. Once we leave the Pinellas trail we connect with the Elfer's Spur Trail and then connect with the Coastal Anclote Trail, we will find an intersection that leads to Anclote Gulf Park, which will be our first stop. There’s restrooms and beautiful water views. Next stop will be Key Vista Nature Park and then we head to the end of the trail. Once we turn-around we will ride to Anclote River Park. After a short visit to Anclote River Park, we will head to the Tarpon Tavern for lunch and then finish our ride back to our cars at Wall Springs Park.

If you are not interested in lunch, you are welcome to continue to your car parked at Wall Springs, but we would love to have you join us for lunch.

This ride is full of features and water views. There are restrooms and places to get more water too but remember it will be hot so bring everything you need to stay hydrated and protected from the elements.

HELMETS: Helmets are required for all cyclists who ride with Suncoast Outdoors events.

This community trail is often very busy with all types of activities. Expect it to be busy!

Make sure your bike is in good condition before the ride and have spare tube, pump, etc. in case of an emergency.

I understand that bicycling involves certain risks which I am prepared to fully assume myself. I will follow all the traffic laws. I agree to waive all claims I may have against this meetup and host for damages or injuries sustained because of participation.
