KAYAK/SUP: Islands of the western Manatee - Ft. Hamer Park

We will launch from Ft. Hamer Park and will paddle WEST on the Manatee River (not our usual direction) through the mangrove islands to the western end close to Marsh Island where the river opens up. Most of the trip will not be in the boat channel so will be free of any boat traffic. The total trip is 7 miles.

There is no kayak rental at this location.

This trip is for Suncoast Pedal & Paddle members exclusively.
No guests, pets, +1's or spouses allowed on this trip.

Arrive by 8:00 a.m. as we will be leaving between 8:15 and 8:30 am. Please arrive on time so as to not be left behind!

Upon Arrival: Please sign in on the "Participant Liability Waiver" (unless you have previously signed an annual waiver).

Don't forget to bring: PFD and whistle (both required by law), and (optional) water, bug spray, itch relief, sunscreen, water shoes, snacks, paddle float, bilge pump, spray skirt, paddle leash, etc.
